| ENERGY: IMV to provide front-end engineering and design for KNOC in northern Alberta project |

(AlbertaIndex, April 1, Tuesday) --- IMV Projects, the Calgary subsidiary of international energy services company John Wood Group PLC, said it has been awarded a $4.5 million contract by Korea National Oil Corporation (KNOC) to provide front-end engineering and design (FEED) services for their 10,000 b/d BlackGold steam-assisted gravity drainage facility to be built in northern Alberta.
“We are very excited to be working with KNOC on their first Canadian heavy oil development,” said Ivan Velev, president of IMV. “We are looking forward to assisting them in realizing their goals and objectives in this new market.” IMV also served as prime construction contractor for the project, which was completed with 1.1 million man hours, in the field and office, with zero lost-time recordable incidents. Founded in 1999, IMV has operations in western and northern Canada, the Atlantic coast of Canada and the Middle East. Its core expertise is in engineering and construction management, and the company provides hands-on experience and proven expertise for conventional and in-situ steam-assisted heavy oil developments, including steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD), cyclic steam stimulation (CSS) and vapor extraction (VAPEX). IMV joined the John Wood Group last year. |
