PEOPLE: Calgary Economic Development names Chown as Director of Community and Corporate Engagement

(AlbertaIndex, March 20, Thursday) --- Calgary Economic Development (CED) has appointed Karen Chown as Director of Community and Corporate Engagement with responsibility for developing strategies and programs to align the organization’s initiatives with its business community and other key stakeholders.
Ms Chown joins CED with over 20 years of senior management experience in the professional services and technology sectors. A significant part of her career was as chief administrative officer at a Calgary-based international professional services firm.

She has held board positions with a variety of international professional organizations and has extensive experience as a board member of a number of community and youth sports associations.

Following graduation from Brock University`s Business Administration program, Karen moved to Calgary, where she has spent the majority of her career.
