CONFERENCE: Energy Minister Knight, TD to promote Alberta in London, UK
        (AlbertaIndex, January 14, Monday) --- Alberta’s energy resources and investment opportunities will be promoted at the London Oil Sands Forum 2008 in England this week.
        Energy Minister Mel Knight will be addressing an audience of industry representatives and investors today.

At the same event at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Canadian financial institution TD Newcrest is holding its First Annual European Oil Sands Forum for representatives from senior and emerging companies involved in the oil sands, pipelines, upgraders, engineers and consultants as well as government officials. TD Newcrest is a division of TD Securities Inc.

Minister Knight will also meet with government officials, investment firms and energy and utility industry representatives. Later, he will address a separate audience at a special Canada-UK Chamber of Commerce luncheon

“Alberta has a stable and competitive investment climate,” Knight said. “By strengthening Alberta’s relationships with the international investment community and the energy industry in the UK, we can help create jobs for Albertans and growth for our economy.”
