She will meet with dignitaries and organizers between November 4 and 6 to discuss opportunities for Alberta participation in the international event. “Travel Alberta has identified China as an important tourism market with tremendous potential,” said Ady. “Our presence at this conference will help ensure that Alberta is positioned as a must-see destination when this market opens.” “The 2008 Olympics are a unique opportunity to showcase Alberta on the world stage before the Games return to Canada. We want Alberta to come to mind when spectators and athletes plan trips to Vancouver in 2010.” The estimated cost of the trip including travel, accommodations and meals for Ady and her executive assistant is approximately $11,200. |
