GOVERNMENT: ‘Neglected’ Calgary has three voices in Stelmach Cabinet

ENERGY: Husky Energy awarded licences to explore in offshore Greenland

            (AlbertaIndex, June 22, Friday) --- Calgary-based Husky Energy Inc said it has been awarded licences to explore in Block 5 (2007-22) and Block 7 (2007-24) off the coast of Greenland. The awards, announced by Husky President and CEO John Lau, were made during the recent West Disko 2006 Licensing Round. 

 
POWER: Northwest grid to be strengthened by ATCO's proposed $210m transmission line

            (AlbertaIndex, June 22, Friday) ---Edmonton-based ATCO Electric said it has applied to the Alberta Energy & Utilities Board (AEUB) for approval to build and operate a new 240-kV electric transmission line in northwest Alberta, following assignment by the Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO).
